Punchestown Racecourse and Newbridge Silverware the big winner at the Kildare Business Awards
North Kildare Chamber hosted the Inaugural Kildare Business Awards on Friday night in The K Club in front of a sell-out room of 300 Kildare business leaders. Businesses celebrated into the early hours at the Black Tie Gala Event which saw Punchestown Racecourse win “Overall Business of the Year for 2014. William Doyle, CEO of Newbridge Silverware received the prestigious award “ Outstanding Contribution to Business in Kildare Award”. Companies which attended the event included Kerry EMEA, Facebook Ireland, Ballymore Properties, Kildare Village and GE Capital. Dick O’Sullivan and the team in Punchestown won the Overall Business of the Year. Dick paid tribute to the team in Punchestown “ On behalf of Punchestown I am so honoured to accept this award. We have had a hugely successful year and to be honoured by the business community in Kildare is a great achievement.
Allan Shine, CEO of the Chamber was delighted with the night and said, “ This event is the highlight of an extremely successful year for the Chamber. We are the fastest growing chamber in Ireland representing in excess of 300 businesses who in turn employ over 37000 people in the county.
Niall Browne, President of the Chamber said” I am honoured to be President of this organisation and must congratulate all the winners here tonight. 2014 has been a great year for the business community in Kildare and we will continue to assist, promote and enhance business going into the new year.
